According to the interest of students in a given year a number of extra-curricular activities are available each week. The Chess Club and Scrabble Club are popular activities for beginners, or advanced players. Presently, sixth through eighth graders with an interest in writing, photography, etc. are involved in publishing the Assumption School Newspaper. One day a week upper level students assist schoolmates through the Study Group Program. Instrumental music lessons and band are available to students in grades 3-8 for an additional fee. In the fall, both girls and boys enthusiastically participate in the cross country program. Assumption sponsors boys’ and girls’ basketball teams at both the 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade levels. Each team participates in leagues with students from area Catholic schools.

Why Assumption?

" I came to Assumption School primarily to avoid a large public school. What we have is so much more. My children attend a small school with a world view. This has been the best experience for both me as a parent and for my children. "
