Calendar Raffle 2010
The Calendar Raffle was once again a huge success. The school made a total of $4,260. Congratulations to all the winners!
Golf Tournament
Thank you to Larry Sasso and his Golf Committee for running Assumption School’s Annual Golf Tournament. Also, thank you to all the families who donated their time, raffle items and made monetary donations to help make this fundraiser such a huge success! All profits received for this year’s Golf Tournament will go to Assumption Schools new playground.
Yankee Candle Fundraiser
Thank you to all the families who participated in our Yankee Candle Fundraiser and to Denise Mahoney & Jenny McNeil for running it. The school made a total of $1,564!

What are “Assumption Angels”?
Assumption Angels are people who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to support the school. Please note that no one is intentionally forgotten—the editor is not infallible.
- Thank you to all the students who were tour guides for the new families at Open House.
- Thank you to all the Classroom Representatives for helping us put together the Teachers’ Appreciation Luncheon. Also, thank you for everything you did all year long to help the teachers and the PTG.
- Thank you to Veronica Morrissette for organizing the Make Your Own Sundaes and all her scoopers during Catholic School’s Week & for collecting all the Box Tops and Campbell’s Labels for our school.
- Thank you to Dr. Bernard and Valerie for organizing and running the Calendar Raffle.
- Thank you to all the parents who chaperoned the field trips.
- Thank you to Erin Lundgren and Michelle Gemme for running the uniform swap.
- Thank you to our lunchroom aides, bus monitors, library aides, food pickup providers, Wednesday Envelope stuffers and fundraiser volunteers.
- Thank you to our janitor Hugh Dignam.
- Thank you to Gayle Teixeira for filling in for Valerie, helping Collette McNamara with treasury items & handling the Spirit Wear orders.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL IS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23RD.
Please note: as Millbury Public Schools last day is Tuesday, June 22nd, there will be NO hot lunch or PM Bus transportation on that day. On Wednesday, June 23rd, busses will NOT be available. Dismissal will be at 11:30 a.m. There will be Extended Day Care in the AM, but not in the PM.
First day of School for 2010 – 2011 is Tuesday, August 31st for grades 1 – 8.
Orientation will take place on Tuesday, August 31st through Friday, September 3rd
for students in Preschool, Pre-kindergarten, and Kindergarten.
First Day of School for Kindergarten and Preschool is Tuesday, September 7th.
First Day of School for Pre-kindergarten is Wednesday, September 8th.
REMINDERS:
- Assessment Accountability forms were due May 19th! Please remember that all financial accounts must be paid in full before June 1st in order for your child/ren to receive their final report cards. This includes the privilege of participating in end-of-year activities.

TO ALL WHO HELPED WITH OUR FIELD DAY EVENTS ... We couldn’t have done it without you! It was a huge success. The children had a very good time and the weather cooperated this year!
TO ALL WHO HELPED WITH THE GOLF TOURNAMENT … We couldn’t have done it without you!
It was a HUGE success ($19,000.000 and counting…)! Our playground will soon become a reality!
Now, Mr. Jim Boucher, Mr. Jon Adams, and I are forming a hands-on committee to start the initial groundwork as we plan for the installation of a playground for the children. If you are interested, please drop me a note, give me a call, or send me an email. THANK YOU!
Graduation Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, June 15th at 7 p.m. All are welcome to join us!

SCHOOL STORE
Great News! We have purchased a cabinet. Our School Store will be operational next year! If any parent is interested in supervising the operation of our “store”, I would be happy to work with you. Call the office if you are interested.
